Lotter engraved this map in 1759 for atlases published by his company in Augsburg. It replaced earlier maps of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth by Matthäus Seutter, who was Lotter's father-in-law. In this third state, several cartographic changes were introduced, mainly in Royal Prussia.
